TL;DR
You know how it goes, another day, another Memecoin to hit the market. Except that today, memecoins have made their way onto Tron. With the aptly named Sundog Token becoming the latest replacement for the crypto blues. Is Sundog here to stay, or just a stepping stone to the “next” big meme?  It’s no big secret that many are running out of steam. Finding the latest memescoin as a haven for coping with the crypto Rollercoaster ride the year has turned into. After all, we were told there would be Lambos…

Attention is what memecoins are all about and it’s no big secret that the Founder of Tron, Justin Sun has a ton of it.

Being a figurehead in the crypto space for almost 8 years, we’ve seen all sides of the man. Sometimes good, but mostly kinda Fucked up. I think that’s important to understand when talking about anything to do with Tron the Network.

You need to know that its foundation is built on lies and deception. From plagiarizing the Tron Whitepaper directly from other projects to Justin himself attempting a hostile takeover of Compound through governance manipulation.

There’s a valid reason why you don’t hear more people talk about using Tron.

What is Sundog?

Is Sundog Here To Stay? - - 2026

The immediate assumption for many People in the industry is that Sundog Is nothing more than another cash-grab event for Justin Sun. In fact, if you’ve found yourself looking for Sundog content on YouTube.

Then it’s likely you’ve heard it prefaced with “I don’t like/trust Justin.” After years of doing shady shit with his network. There’s a huge lack of trust associated with him and Tron.

Others see Sundog as an opportunity to mid-curve Tron and start carving out a piece of the network effects associated with the first major Memecoin released.

Either way, Sundog brings nothing new to the memecoin table that hasn’t already been there before. The only thing going for it is that it appears to be backed by Justin himself.

Is Sundog Here To Stay? - - 2026

This coincides with Justin’s need for attention and desire to maintain some level of relevance for TRON in the current crypto archetype. Leading Sundog into being part of the newly launched SunPump protocol.

Seeing how much money the folks over at PumpFun were raking in. There’s no way that Justin could sit on his hands for very long. Over 11,000 tokens have been created on SunPump in just a few days. The most obvious choice for many to purchase is Sundog. It benefited greatly from this inflow of unknown memes designed to obscure the marketplace and drive people into the only official memecoin launched.

Of course, this won’t be the last big memecoin to launch on Tron. But it’s certainly the first to pump to this level. Soon, we’ll see the effects of the first movers that made their way into Sundog. As with memecoin charades on any network. Those who made big bets on Sundog and paid off. Will soon feel the inadequate need to do it again. Starting the memecoin trap that many fall into. An empty hole of reproducing wins on a larger scale that is to the detriment of so many.

For example, someone who just turned $100 into $1,000 is looking to make that happen again. Except this time they are convinced that this $1,000 can become $100,000. So they place $100 in ten different memecoins in an attempt to make that happen. Except as with PumpFun, all those memecoins go to zero or fail to…
