Buy, trade, and hold 600+ cryptocurrencies on Binance
Lark’s Portfolio
What I’m Buying
I bought some Bitcoin.
I bought some more gold. Actual metal. Mainly because I like the coins haha.
I also bought some DIO. To be clear, this is a HIGH RISK purchase. The market cap of this coin has dropped under 1 million. And it is WAY below ICO price now. But, the project development continues. Certainly feels like a bit of a gamble right now buying a low-cap altcoin like this. The upside potential is huge if they deliver.
I put in a new buy order to add to my ROSE position but at a lower price target of 5 cents. Will wait to see if it fills in the coming weeks and months. No worries if it doesn’t.
I bought a bag of SNX at $3.90 with a stop loss at $3.27. Overall this coin has been looking strong and has got a lot of interest from whales and the big money VC crowd. If we can stage a decent rally this coin could do quite well.
<h3 id="big-round-numbers“>Big Round Numbers
Well, I did it to myself again. I missed a great sale opportunity because I put in my sell order at a big round number. Sigh… C’mon Lark!
Remember that $1,800 sale order I had in for my Ethereum trade? Well, the price on Binance reached $1,784. Classic. While it did overshoot $1,700 as I had assumed it would, it did not overshoot by as much as I had hoped. Last weekend I sat watching the price of Ethereum thinking to myself, “just cut the bag Lark”. This is “close enough”.
Anyway, it will get to my sell target soon enough, but this just serves as a reminder to not set sell orders at big round numbers. My new sell order is at $1,780.
Take your profits or the market will take them for you!
I need to get a tattoo of this or something! And I say that as someone who was generally good at taking profits during the bull run.
But, looking back on the bull run I made a few mistakes. An example is WILD.
I stubbornly said to myself I will only sell when it crosses over a billion-dollar market cap.
This was essentially breaking my rules for an altcoin since in any other circumstance I would have reduced this bag multiple times on the run up thus locking in profits.
I did pull out my initial capital, so this is just a “free bag”, but I still should have managed this one better.
To be clear I am still bullish on WILD and think they will do great things in the future, but that is not an excuse for not reacting to the market movements and failing to take some profits.
At the end of the day, we all make mistakes.
The only question is do we take the time to reflect on and learn from those mistakes?
