Lark’s Portfolio

This Week’s Moves

As usual I added a little bit of Bitcoin, I might start adding ETH to my weekly buys soon as well. Also, to be clear, these are small amounts. I am being very conservative at the moment.

I did a lot of cleaning up this week too. I sold RIDE and GMT that I received from venture investments. I also sold about ⅓ of the GLMR that I got from my venture investment, and staked the rest, adding to my existing large GLMR position.

I sold a little bit of EGLD and MEX that I removed from a liquidity pool. I am still staking a big pile of locked MEX. WHICH, by the way, I added to my portfolio. To be clear, that is not a new buy, just adding on my staked coin position to the portfolio tracker. I should have done that a while ago.

I claimed and dumped GRO. This one was a huge crushing loss overall. The staking rewards ended up being worth almost nothing, and the impermanent loss suffered from farming was huge.

I also claimed Polkadot auction coins on Binance, bad time to do it, and I should have been paying more attention. I sold the coins I got. Not worth too much at this time. Overall my portfolio has been out of control making it hard to track investments which has meant a lot has fallen through the cracks. Still “free” money, but would have made much more by selling DOT instead of locking it up for auctions.

I capitulated on my Looks Rare bag. As discussed last week I am not loving its current direction in the face of so many competitors.

I also cut my final bag of TVK. No hard feelings here. I made plenty on this coin. What remained was a fractional amount of the total amount that I initially had.

I also wrote off my Ardana investment, not sure if I mentioned that before, but I realized that I had not taken it off of my disclosures page. But yeah, Ardana is finished.

The stablecoins that I got from selling the above coins were moved out of the crypto market.

Next Cycle Plays

2023 in many ways will be about getting ready for the next cycle. And while it feels like things will never get better, they will. And those who are ready will be prepared to profit.

Old Coins Will Die

You need to fully internalize this reality. Many coins will not make it through the bear market. Let’s face it, a lot of the coins that popped up in 2021 and 2022 were total garbage anyway.

I myself have had to say goodbye to many a failed coin already during this bear market. It happens. So don’t let yourself get caught in the trap of thinking that just because a coin is 99% down that it is a good buy. It can still drop 99%. Make sure to do a lot of homework before putting any cash into altcoins right now.  Risk remains high.

Survivors Will Thrive

That being said, some…
