Portfolio Updates

I bought some more BTC at $30,060. I also removed my buy order at $25,300. For me this will probably be my last weekly BTC purchase for a while assuming the rally continues in the weeks and months ahead. Basically trading above 30k I will not be putting much more fresh fiat in, trading under 30k and I will keep stacking. Why? Well, there are better gains to be had elsewhere. More risk? Yes. But I am ready for that.

Also to be clear, I will still be earning Bitcoin via affiliate programs so I am not technically completely stopping stacking, just not putting any fiat in right now. Will I buy more BTC later? Sure. I will plow some altcoin profits back into BTC. 100%. But even that will be done within reason. Once BTC crosses over its all time high and start making new highs then the strategy of moving altcoin profits into BTC is a lot less appealing.

The simple reason is that BTC bought using profits from an altcoin is a tricky proposition. First, I need to pay the taxes on the altcoin sale. Second, if I buy BTC at $100,000 using altcoin profits and then BTC dips to 50k in the next bear market then I have lost a lot of purchasing power.

I bought some more ARB at $1.23. I also removed my buy order at 75 cents. Seems not likely to fill soon unless there is a big change in market sentiment. I am leaving my buy order at $1 for now.

I bought a nice bag of AVAX at $18.30. My target for this is $30 currently. However, if the markets look like they can and will run further I will likely increase the price target and put in a stop loss to lock in profits. If the markets turn against me then I am also prepared to cut this AVAX trade at a small loss.

I also added a very small amount of ROSE around 6 cents. I know I said I wasn’t going to get anymore… but it was just a nibble.

I put in a sell order for my INJ at $16. Insane how much this has run in recent weeks. I have been holding these bags for ages. Already made a lot of money on INJ. This final sale would be the cherry on top.

Last week I put some money into 3 different DeFi protocols on Arbitrum. So, how are my experiments going?

  • Vela: Moving about as expected. Up slightly on the VLP stablecoin pool. Got some eVELA rewards stacking up. Debating whether or not to put more money in.
  • Trader Joe: The current estimated APR for my ARB/USDC pool is 85%. So far I have earned 0.6% return on my capital in the form of USDC and ARB rewards, which are real yield from fees paid into the pool. Not bad. HOWEVER, my current impermanent loss is sitting at minus $300. That likely evens out over time though. Also worth noting is that I am pursuing a wide basket strategy here, and not actively managing the…
