❌ The SEC Strikes Again With More ETF Delays
The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has delayed the ETF party once again. This week has seen two rounds of ETF delays:
1. Spot Ethereum ETFs
Ark 21 Shares and VanEck’s applications for spot Ethereum ETFs have been pushed back until December 25 and 26 respectively.
But of course, Futures ETFs continue to get approved.
Valkyrie’s existing Bitcoin Strategy ETF will expand out to ETH Futures.
The fund will change its name on October 3rd to the Valkyrie Bitcoin and Ether Strategy ETF.
2. Spot Bitcoin ETFs
The SEC has delayed the Ark 21 Shares spot Bitcoin ETF to January 10, 2024.
This takes us to the final deadline. Cutting it fine fella’s…there’s a halving coming!
They appear to be eager beavers on this one, as a decision either way wasn’t scheduled until November 11.
