TL;DR
Ankr Network has been redesigned for a Web3 Future with new utility and additional features that make Ankr Network feel like an entirely new project. Few have been able to pull off the kind of pivot Ankr is doing, so it’s time to give credit where credit is due and discuss some of the recent changes over at Ankr Network. This review will cover all the different parts of Ankr. Including how to participate in the brand-new Neura AI Network launched by Ankr last week.

Moving from an Internet of Things (IoT) focused design that was considered heavily centralized, Ankr Network now resides in the Web3 infrastructure space and is completely decentralized thanks to Ankr 2.0 launched last year.

Ankr offers “almost” everything a network needs to launch and maintain functionality.

It now operates in some capacity on every major network, making Ankr a staple in the industry and aligning it closely with the interconnectivity of key infrastructure projects like Chainlink.

What is Ankr Network?

Launched back in 2019, Ankr Network hit the scene as the most secure cloud computing software stack available, allowing anyone to rent Ankr nodes to secure their networks and outsource other computational needs.

These were the heady days when cloud computing projects were just getting the green light, beginning with the launch of Siacoin.

It’s why I and other OGs are unamused when something new like NodeAI pops up. Because it’s an 8-year-old idea.

Adding AI or something else to it changes no functional value. This is why so many can identify something special about Ankr.

Unhappy with being a one-dimensional project, Ankr Network has carefully managed its resources to continue innovating. Quickly building from that cloud computing foundation where their competition is AWS and Google Cloud to a robust enterprise resource whose only real competition is itself.

Ankr Network is founded by engineers with a desire to grow blockchain technology into the future.

This can be seen in the tremendous amount of work committed by the team. With this level of support, it’s no wonder that Ankr Network’s JavaScript is operating across more than 140 Projects providing services on Solana, Polygon, ZkSync Era, Base Network, BNB Chain, Arbitrum, Fantom, Ethereum, and dozens more. It would be a shorter list to name Networks not using Ankr.

That’s because Ankr’s Web3 API offers customizable options for anyone to launch their sidechain or rollup.

Bootstrap their project using Ankr Networks’ distributed liquidity pool and provide easy-to-use Liquid Staking Token (LST) support, thanks to Ankr Networks’ decentralized Node infrastructure.

You see, instead of just trying to build the next cloud service and hoping people rent computing resources, Ankr decided it was better to build that cloud and utilize its resources to expand other networks.

How Does Ankr Work?

Ankr Network has four main products it offers to the world. When these are combined, new and existing projects can cross the bulk of their needs for operation off the list.

Ankr provides advanced support features that allow information to be passed between networks at lightning speed, allowing a single request to be dispersed across multiple networks…
